Year Six - Mr Robins

May I start by welcoming everyone to 6AR and year 6. It's been lovely to see everyone back at school and all the children have come back with a real spring in their step and have already shown a fantastic attitude towards their final year here at Clapgate.

As I am sure you will be aware, I am Mr Robins and I shall be teaching some of your children in year 6 for reading, writing and maths every morning. I would also like to introduce Miss Rider who will also be working alongside me. As a team, we count it a privilege to be working with your children and we love spending time with every one of them. It will always be our intention to make learning as fun and exciting as possible for your children in what is going to be a very important final year of primary school.

Year 6 is a very busy year with children completing their end of year SATs, which are an important stepping stone to high school, but we will also have many of opportunities to have lots of fun and relax, with trips to London in December, a residential to Ingleborough Hall in June and days out to Lightwater Valley and Middleton Park. Early details of some of those dates are below, along with some key information that will help your child be as prepared as possible for each week.

If you have any questions, do not hesitate to see me before or after school - my door is always open. If this is not possible, you can also ring the school office and I will get back to you as soon as I can.

Important Information

Monday - Opportunity to read in school during break time for those unable to read at home (or those without a comment in their yellow reading record book).
