This half term we have been looking at the UK and its different land use. The children have learnt about different ways the UK works and the areas you will find. The children first of all started off by visiting a countryside and city. They compared the similarities and differences of the two and then wrote a paragraph explaining what they found. They loved riding on the tractor and visiting Frankie and Benny's for their tea!
The Children also looked at how land use has changed over time. They looked at coastal erosion, wind farms and building houses. The children created an information poster to show the affect that this has had on the land and the benefits that it can bring but also the negatives.
The children have been reading The Sheep Pig this half term so we have been focusing on farms. We looked at the two different types of farming. The children then sorted the pictures into the correct place.
Take a look below at some of our lovely work from this half term.
