Within PE this half term in Year 1, we have been exploring fitness. This has included trying new exercises including HIIT training and participating in the bleep test. We also took part in a fitness circuit which tested our skills in different areas such as speed bounce, throwing and catching, balancing and running! By doing all these activities we were able to see the long and short term effects of exercise including getting out of breath, sweating and increasing fitness levels. We discussed the difference between healthy and unhealthy diets and why it is important to eat nutritious food and do regular exercise!
