We can't believe it's already the last term of the school year! All of year 6 are very happy to have completed their SATs exams and now to have some time to enjoy the end of their time at Clapgate. This half term, year 6 will be preparing the school show and a graduation ceremony. They will also enjoy trips to Lightwater Valley and Ingleborough so keep an eye out for photos.
Everyone had a fantastic time at Lightwater Valley. The children were all brilliantly behaved and we were lucky that the park was very empty. This meant we didn't have to queue and we made the most of the whole day.
In maths this half term, we've been taking part in lots of challenges. Everyone is really enjoying using their reasoning skills and working in pairs to solve problems
We've had an amazing week at Ingleborough Hall where everyone has enjoyed loads of fantastic activities. We climbed trees, abseiled, scrambled up gorges, squeezed through caves, studied fossils in a show cave and took part in an 8 mile hike. All the children were brilliantly behaved and did themselves proud. They supported each other to challenge themselves and enjoyed playing in the vast grounds of the accommodation. Despite the rain, everyone gave their all in every activity and learnt lots in the process. Thank you for having us Clapham and Ingleborough Hall!
