Happy new year!
This half term we are studying Crime and punishment through the ages. We will be studying different times in British history and how crimes were dealt with.
We started this half term with a Victorian afternoon where the children experienced life in a Victorian workhouse, school and court room. Everyone enjoyed the afternoon, and we're looking forward to learning more about the Victorian's through our focus text, 'Oliver' by Charles Dickens.
We have had a brilliant start to 2018, and have already written descriptions of a Victorian workhouse, studied sources to find out about crime and punishment in the 1800s and compared our lives to the lives of poor Victorians.
