Spectacular Space

Having the planetarium visit inspired us to make our own rockets!

Parental Involvement

Thank you to all the grown ups who came to our parental involvement! We used the materials in the scrap shed to build our own versions of the International Space Station, thinking about all the different things that astronauts would need to live comfortably in space for months at a time. Funnily enough, every group seemed to focus in on the importance of having a toilet!

1DP have Leeds Rhinos in this term teaching us how to play rugby! This is a fantastic opportunity and we have been having so much fun. So far we have learnt how to score a try and how to dodge around other players - through playing a variety of fun games and mini competitions.

In maths we have been learning about length and height. We used different objects to measure things and compared which might be the most useful to use. We settled on unifix cubes. The children were really inspired by this and after they had finished the lesson lots of them wanted to measure each other using the unifix cubes! Fantastic learning 1DP!
