In Reception, the children have been learning about the wind. They made wind wands to investigate and explore wind force and direction. They used different materials and attached them to a paper tube carefully to create their wind wands and then went outside to see the effects of the wind on their wands.
"It's blowing from that way to that way."
"It's flying because the wind."
"It stops blowing when you put it down."
"Put it in sky and wind just blow it behind me."
We have had a lovely time creating our own bubble wands! We used twigs and pipe cleaners to make the wands and then we got use them. We had to make sure there was enough washing up liquid in the water or the bubbles didn't work!
