Fine motor skill activity – hole punching the moon

Show your child a hole punch. Do they know what it is? Do they know what it is used for? Explain that it a piece of equipment that makes holes. Demonstrate how to make a hole by putting paper into the bottom of the hole punch and pressing down on it.

Give your child some round pieces of paper (representing the moon). Ask your child to explore pressing down on the hole punch to create holes.

This activity is good for building up strength in your child’s fingers and hands.
