This week during PSHE the children have been recapping their previous learning on emotions. During the lesson the children identified a variety of emotions and had match a different version of the emotion. The children then discussed levels of emotions and decided if one meaning of the emotion was more serious than the other. After we discussed different situations and identified that people may feel differently about the same situation. We also discussed the opposite emotions. All children were involved in the lesson and truly understood the concept of different emotions. Well done Year 1.

1SP-

This week during PSHE the children have been recapping their previous learning on emotions. During the lesson the children read the story ‘Lost and Found’. We discussed the title and spoke about what we thought the story would be about. After reading the story, we found out the true meaning behind the story. As a group we talked about the different layers of emotions in the story, and how one minute you can feel happy and the next sad. We also reflected on a scenario, where two different animals would have different feelings to the same scenario. The children role-played the different feelings and we all came to the conclusion that it’s ok to feel different in the same situation. Well done Year 1, you have really understood and grasped the concept of emotions this half term.
