Welcome to the SEND section of our website!
This page is designed to help you find all the information you need to understand the ways in which we support our pupils that have any Special Educational Needs and/or disabilities.
At Clapgate Primary we pride ourselves on the amazing provision we offer for all of our pupils and we constantly strive to develop and improve this.
Mrs Woodhouse is our SENDCo (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Coordinator) and works closely alongside the pastoral team and class teachers to ensure we are meeting the needs of all pupils in our school. We have also bought in a private speech and language therapist who is in school every Thursday working with children and teachers to improve communication difficulties. We also seek advice from a number of different external agencies to ensure we are supporting the needs of your child in the best possible way.
We strive to develop staff and provision to meet the needs of all children with SEND. We understand that, as parents, you know your children best and therefore your input and feedback are invaluable to helping us meet the needs of your child. Should you have any questions or concerns regarding your child and their learning please do not hesitate to make an appointment with Mrs Woodhouse or your child's class teacher. We are always happy to discuss your concerns and to see what we can do to help.
Please also see key information and policies below for further information that may answer some of your questions.
