About Us

Clapgate Primary is a school for children aged between 3 and 11 years. Children enter our flexible Nursery provision (which means that families can choose if they wish to send their children during morning sessions, afternoon sessions or for 2 ½ full days at the beginning or end of the week) in the term after their third birthday and stay with us until they leave to move onto High School.

 

We are a community school and have a breakfast club for children and parents/carers before school and a range of after school clubs led by school staff and specialists. We also have partnerships with a number of community groups such as our local football club, Rainbows, Brownies, Guides and Rangers, DAZL Dance, Karate  and Majorettes. This means that children and often their adults can access a range of activities during evenings and at the week-end. Because we work closely with other local schools, we can access after school childcare locally when there is the need. We also have dedicated, qualified childminders to support working adults with childcare. We welcome new and prospective parents to visit us.
