2DP London's Burning

To finish off our topic on The Great Fire of London we wrote our own verses and then accompanied them with instruments. What a fantastic job!

Reception

Reception are learning songs based on the theme 'My Stories'. They have been singing 'Oh The Grand Old Duke of York', 'Ring 'O Roses' but their favourite has been 'I'm a Little Teapot' which they would like to share with you in the short clip above.

We are really getting into the Christmas spirit this half term. Check out some amazing singing from year 4.

In 4EB, we looked at the UK. We learnt the song Waterloo Sunset when we learnt about London!

Christmas at Clapgate

Clapgate had a visit from a brass band during the last day before the Christmas holidays but the real stars of the day were the children from our newly formed recorder club. They made their first public appearance in from top their friends and a lot of adults at the start of the KS1 assembly. They played the carol Jingle Bells and played it so brilliantly were asked to perform an encore at the end of the assembly.

The brass musicians then led the singing in both KS1 and KS2 assemblies as the children sang Jingle Bells, Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer, We Wish You A Merry Christmas and I Wish It Could Be Christmas Everyday.
