This week we have been learning about the celebrations of Halloween. As part of our learning we have been on a Halloween hunt, made potions, carved pumpkins, made pumpkin faces using simple 2D shapes, moulded pumpkins out of play dough and created skeleton pictures.
We have been talking about Halloween this week and have done lots of Halloween activities, including making pumpkins and spiders from playdough, making witches potions and exploring pumpkins.
This week we have been learning about Bonfire night and why we celebrate it. We have looked at the 'Gunpowder plot' story and talked about some of the things we might see and do on Bonfire night, like watching fireworks and eating toffee apples!
During the last few weeks of term we have been talking about Christmas and why we celebrate Christmas. We have done lots of fun activities including making Christmas cards, making calendars and making salt dough tree decorations.
Santa also delivered Nursery a grotto so we could help him and the Elves to get presents ready for Christmas Eve. We had lots of fun playing in the Grotto.
