A huge hello to everybody joining 2SO this year! I hope you have had a wonderful summer, and from the stories I have been hearing it sounds like you all have.
We have already been doing lots of amazing learning and the children have had a fabulous first week in Year 2!
In 2SO, Miss O'Hagan, Miss Salt and Mrs Wordley will be helping with the children's learning and we can't wait to get started!
Masquerade Ball - Wednesday 11th October
Break up for half-term - Friday 20th October
Today was VERY exciting! Mrs Singleton delivered an important invitation from a mystery host. It explained that we have been invited to a Masquerade Ball!
After reading our invitation, we discovered the mystery host had sent us an e-mail asking us to complete lots of important tasks before the date of the ball.
We have to:
* Make ourselves a masqerade mask
* Choose a song to create a dance to
* Help to find the magic lamp and return it to Agrabah on our magic carpet!
We can't wait to find out what will happen next!
This week we have been writing lots of questions that we want to ask our Mystery Host! Once we had made a draft letter, we typed it up into an e-mail and sent it. We are really looking forward to receiving a reply!
Today we flew all the way to Neverland! The children spotted lots of different things on their way there and could describe what they could see, feel, hear, smell and touch.
Once we arrived, the children explored all of the different places in Neverland! We joined in the games in The Lost Boys Camp, dived into the waterfall at Mermaid Lagoon, escaped the snappy crocodiles in Croc Creek and finally we fought the pirates at Skull rock!
What a busy day we have had!
We had such an amazing time at our wonderful masquerade ball. The children were able to show off all of their amazing hard work from over the last half-term. It was fantastic to see so many of you joining us and the children were so excited to perform their dances.
After 6 weeks of mystery, we finally found out who had invited us to the ball... The Genie! The genie popped in for a quick visit and handed out prizes for the best masquerade masks! Well done to Chloe Daniels and Thomas Hall for their fantastic designs and to everybody else for their amazing effort!
